Terms of Use

This Terms of Use document is complemented by our Donation Policy, which forms an integral part of the terms governing the use of donation-related features on the Platform. Please review the Donation Policy carefully before making a donation.

Overview and Acceptance

FindYourBlessing (“we” or “us”) is an online platform based in Hungary (and operating under EU regulations) that connects visitors seeking spiritual guidance with Buddhist monks and temple/monastery organizations. We are a facilitator, not a provider of spiritual services ourselves. By accessing or using FindYourBlessing (the “Platform”), you (“Visitor”) agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms over time and will indicate the last updated date. Continued use of the Platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

The Platform is operated in accordance with the laws of Hungary and the European Union. However, the Platform is globally accessible and available for use by individuals from all regions. Visitors acknowledge and accept that services are provided under the jurisdiction of Hungary and the EU, and that certain rights or obligations may apply differently depending on local laws.

Visitor Accounts and Eligibility

Registration: Visitors may browse parts of the Platform without an account, but to fully participate (either as a seeker/donor or as a monk/temple/monastery offering services), you must register and provide accurate, complete information.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your country) to create an account and use donation features. By registering, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Identity Verification: In order to comply with the requirements of our third-party payment processors (e.g., PayPal, Payoneer), we may request verification documents to confirm your identity or authority, especially if you are receiving donations. This is necessary to comply with financial regulations, prevent fraud, and support secure transactions.
Monk/Temple/Monastery Accounts: If you register as a monk or temple/monastery organization to offer guidance or receive donations, you represent that you are an authentic Buddhist monastic or an authorized representative of a temple/monastery. In the case of temple/monastery organizations, an individual (such as an authorized monk) must manage the account on the temple’s/monastery’s behalf. You are responsible for ensuring you have any necessary permission or mandate to act for that organization. We may require verification documents to confirm identity or authority.
No Official Organization: FindYourBlessing itself is not a registered charity or religious organization; it is a private platform facilitating connections. Monks and temples/monasteries on the Platform are independent visitors, not employees or agents of FindYourBlessing. We do not endorse any specific visitor. Each monk/temple/monastery is responsible for their own credentials and the content or services they provide.

Services and Platform Usage

FindYourBlessing offers a community and communication platform where:

Spiritual Guidance: Visitors can seek spiritual guidance, meditation support, blessings, or join events from monks and temples/monasteries worldwide via video consultations, live streams, and posts.
Community Timeline: Monks can share content (texts, images, videos, live streams) and interact with visitors. Visitors may like or comment in a respectful manner.
Bookings and Events: In future updates, visitors may book personal one-on-one or group sessions, temple/monastery visits, or other events through the Platform’s scheduling features.
Voluntary Donations: All core services on the Platform (e.g. accessing content, participating in consultations or events) are offered free of charge. At the end of a session or alongside content, Visitors have the option to donate to support the monk or temple/monastery, but this is not obligatory. There is no paywall for receiving blessings or guidance. Donations are completely voluntary and treated as unconditional gifts to the chosen monk or temple/monastery.

Donations on the Platform

When you choose to donate through FindYourBlessing, the following terms apply:

Voluntary Nature: Donations are completely voluntary and are not payments for goods or services. Making or not making a donation will not affect the availability or quality of spiritual services you receive. Donations are considered a gesture of support or gratitude to the monk or temple/monastery.
Donation Processing: Donations are processed via trusted third-party payment providers, including PayPal, Payoneer (for card payments), and any other providers we may introduce in the future to ensure secure and accessible transactions. We do not handle your card data directly; all transactions are secured through these payment gateways in compliance with their terms and policies.
Platform Fee: At this time, 100% of every donation made through FindYourBlessing – excluding any transaction fees charged by the payment provider – is transferred directly to the selected monk or monastery. During our initial launch phase, we do not charge any platform fee, because our goal is to ensure that all generosity reaches its intended destination in full.

In the future, we may introduce a modest service fee of up to 5% to help sustain the platform’s operations, ongoing development, and community support. Should this be implemented, the fee will be clearly communicated and fully transparent during the donation process, so you’ll always know where your support is going.

It’s important to note that FindYourBlessing never handles or transfers donations directly and is not a financial intermediary. All donations are processed and distributed automatically through trusted payment partners (such as PayPal, Payoneer), according to the allocation rules set within their secure systems.

Use of Funds and Responsibility: The designated monk or temple/monastery is solely responsible for managing and using the donation funds in accordance with their local laws and any tax obligations. FindYourBlessing is not involved in how the donations are used after transfer and disclaims all responsibility for their use.
Recurring Donations: We enable Visitors to set up recurring (e.g., monthly) donations. Such functionality will be clearly announced and subject to the same terms and transparency.
Targeted Projects: Sometimes you may choose to donate toward a specific project or campaign listed by a monk or temple/monastery (e.g. a temple/monastery construction or a charity drive). Such targeted donations will be earmarked for that purpose. However, FindYourBlessing does not guarantee that the funds will be used for that exact project, and we are not responsible for how the beneficiary ultimately uses the donation. We expect our monk/temple/monastery visitors to honor their stated purposes, but donors should understand that donations are unconditional gifts to the beneficiary’s mission.
No Tax or Receipts by Platform: FindYourBlessing is not a charity, and generally does not issue tax-deduction receipts. Depending on the status of the monk or temple/monastery, your donation may or may not qualify as tax-deductible. It is your responsibility to consult local tax laws or the recipient if you require a donation receipt. We may share your contact details with the recipient for the purposes of acknowledgment or issuing a receipt, where applicable.

Acceptable Use and Conduct

We are building a respectful, sacred community. By using the Platform, you agree to:

Respect Others: Treat monks, temples/monasteries, and fellow visitors with courtesy and respect. Harassment, hate speech, obscene or defamatory language, or any threatening or abusive behavior is strictly prohibited. Content that is offensive, infringing, or inappropriate will be removed and may result in account termination.
Appropriate Content: Do not post or transmit content that is illegal, violates others’ rights (including intellectual property rights), or is unrelated to the spiritual purpose of the Platform. You must own or have rights to any content you post (e.g. comments, profile info), and by posting you grant us a license to display that content on the Platform.
No Commercial Solicitation: The Platform is for spiritual and community use. Visitors (especially seekers) should not use it to advertise or sell unrelated products/services. Monks/temples/monasteries may share information on spiritual services or temple/monastery projects, but must not engage in misleading fundraising or commercial schemes outside of what the Platform allows.
Compliance with Laws: You are responsible for using the Platform in compliance with all applicable laws. Do not use the service for any fraudulent or illicit activities. For example, money laundering, financing of unlawful activities, or misrepresentation of donation purposes are strictly forbidden.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You should use a strong password and keep your account information up-to-date.

Disclaimers of Warranties

Service “As Is”: We provide the Platform and services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we strive for reliability and security, we do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet all your expectations. All information and content on the site is provided without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
No Professional Advice: The guidance and content provided by monks or temples/monasteries on FindYourBlessing are spiritual or personal in nature. We do not warrant or guarantee the effectiveness, correctness, or suitability of any advice or teachings for your particular situation. Spiritual guidance is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or psychological advice. If you have serious issues (mental or physical), please seek help from a qualified professional.
Monk/Temple/Monastery Responsibility: Any opinions or advice given by a monk or temple/monastery are their own and do not reflect FindYourBlessing’s views. We do not independently verify or endorse every piece of content. While we may verify the identity/credentials of monastics to some extent, the Visitors assumes all risk in acting on guidance received. The Platform is merely a venue for interaction; we are not liable for what occurs in communications between visitors and monks outside the Platform’s payment/donation system.
No Guarantee of Outcomes: Engaging in meditation or receiving blessings via the Platform is a personal journey. FindYourBlessing makes no guarantee of any specific outcome (such as spiritual attainment, personal improvement, etc.) for Visitors, and you release us from any claim arising from your reliance on any content or interactions on the Platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

FindYourBlessing and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Platform or from any guidance or service provided through the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, goodwill, health, or other intangible losses.
In all cases, our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Platform will not exceed the amount of any donation you have made through the Platform (if the claim involves a donation), or EUR 100 if no donation was involved, whichever is higher.
We specifically are not responsible for any dissatisfaction or issues with how a monk or temple/monastery uses your donation or the outcome of any project you donated to. Once funds are transferred to the beneficiary, we cannot control their use.
FindYourBlessing will not be liable for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations due to causes beyond our reasonable control, such as network outages, payment processor issues, or force majeure events.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability which cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law. If you are using the Platform as a consumer in the EU, you may have certain statutory rights; these Terms are not intended to override those rights except as lawfully permitted.

Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in behavior that harms other visitors, the monks/temples/monasteries, or the Platform’s integrity. Examples include:

Violating the Acceptable Use rules
Fraud
Misuse of donations
Attempting to circumvent our systems

We may also suspend the donation feature for any visitor if fraudulent or unauthorized transactions are suspected. If your account is terminated, you must cease using the Platform.

You may contact us to appeal a suspension, but we make no guarantee of reinstatement. You are free to stop using the Platform and may delete your account at any time. However, please note that content you have posted (such as comments) or donation records may persist in backup or archival copies for legal/accounting reasons.

Intellectual Property

All content on FindYourBlessing (excluding visitor-generated content) is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. This includes our logos, design elements, branding, and curated content compilations.

You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

Visitor-generated content (such as teachings, posts, videos) remains the property of the visitors who create it (monks, temples/monasteries, or community members). However, by posting such content on the Platform, you grant FindYourBlessing a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and share this content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

If you believe that any content on the Platform infringes your intellectual property rights, please notify us with sufficient details for review.

Privacy and Data Protection

We value your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information in compliance with applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) within the EU.

All personal data is processed according to our [Privacy Policy], which explains:

Your rights as a data subject

When you make a donation, you may need to provide information such as your name, email address, and payment details. This data is securely processed by trusted third-party providers (such as PayPal or Payoneer), and may in some cases be shared with the recipient monk or temple/monastery —for example, to allow them to acknowledge your gift or issue a donation receipt (where applicable).

FindYourBlessing does not sell personal data to any third party. We only collect and share data necessary for the proper functioning of the Platform.

Changes to the Service

FindYourBlessing is an evolving platform. We reserve the right to:

Add or remove features
Modify how services work
Temporarily or permanently discontinue any part of the Platform

Such changes may be made at any time, with or without notice. However, for significant changes that affect the functionality or visitor experience, we will make reasonable efforts to inform visitors (via the website or email notifications).

We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modifications, suspensions, or discontinuations.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary and relevant European Union regulations.

By using the Platform, you agree that any disputes arising under or related to these Terms or the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.

If you are a consumer residing in the EU, you may also have the right to pursue claims in your home country under local consumer protection laws.

Before initiating any legal action, we strongly encourage you to contact us to attempt to resolve the issue amicably.

Any claim against FindYourBlessing must be brought within one (1) year of the date it arose, unless such limitation is not permitted under applicable law.
